Sing with the Village Voices Chorale

Are you interested in joining a group of talented people 

who love to sing? 

You've come to the right place! Auditions for the Fall 2025 semester have now concluded but will start up again in January and are held by appointment. 

Choral singing experience and sight-reading skills are a plus but not mandatory if you have a good ear and strong pitch. The chorale is a fun group of people who love making music together. 

Rehearsals are Tuesday evenings from 7:30-9:30 pm in Westlake Village.

What happens at your audition?

•  Private auditions are held at United Methodist Church of Westlake Village  and last approximately 15 minutes.
• After filling out a brief questionnaire,  you'll be asked to sing a song of your choosing. You can simply sing a cappella, or provide your own recorded accompaniment. This is your chance to show us your stage presence and showmanship. 
• After that, you will be asked to sing up and down a scale to determine your vocal range.
• You'll also be asked to sing back certain notes played by the choir director to demonstrate your ability to stay on pitch and learn by ear.

Requirements:

•  Membership Dues are required to pay for music and other expenses- $35.00 for full time students  and $75.00 for non students.
• Concert attire, if you don't already have it,  as well as a black folder to hold your music and a black stool to sit on during concerts must be purchased as well.
